The increasing digitalisation of the world claims a new way of thinking. Today’s economy is confronted with an everlasting need of innovation. Big institutions start to build their first start-up initiatives to participate in the run of new ideas - the actual winners of this new demand on the labour market are the IT specialists. We believe in the power of a new economy era, but are also aware of the involved risks. The lately executed IPOs of “What’s App” and “Alibaba” open up questions about the evaluation of internet companies. With this year’s credo “from innovation to disruption” we want to take up this issue and discuss potential challenges and solutions.
START Summit is Europe’s leading talent conference for entrepreneurship and innovation. Organized by START global, the event takes place each year @ the University of St. Gallen and brings together about 600 students, entrepreneurs and investors for two days of inspiration, learning and networking. The next Summit will be on 17th / 18th April 2015 and is all about creating a platform for intercultural and interdisciplinary knowledge transfer between the Asian and the European start up world. In order to follow our vision we provide our guests not only with workshops of experienced founders but also with exclusive Key-Note speeches and a unique Hackathon event for the best IT-young academics our universities have to offer.
